Hi @Beecher5253
@Facthunter is right about Brexit … all the polish fuel tanker drivers in the UK can no longer work.
Liberal, Labor and Greens all have it wrong trying to outdo each other with lowball renewables targets like 20%, 30% and even 50% of the energy mix.
Imo, you need a renewables target of something like 200% of current demand, with over-production going to pumped hydro, hydrogen production for domestic use, export and for green steel production here in Australia, aluminium smelting and other energy intensive manufacturing industries.
With 200% over-production, and multiple options for consuming huge quantities of renewables over-production, solar and wind with meet daily demand close to 100% of the time ... and pumped hydro and hydrogen fuelled turbines will take up the small slack.
Its a brave new world Beecher.
Australia can be on the right side of history with new jobs and energy prosperity.
