Good one!
I'll start with an opinion and a bit of history. The town of Kiruna exists because of the ore mountain Kiirunavaara and the ore railway that was then built. The town was formed because of this mountain. I have little to no understanding when everyone is compensated and still complains because they are to be resettled. Why do they live there? Because of the ore and the employer. It reminds me of a new settlement in my hometown. Some people built next to the highway. Afterwards they complained about the noise. I have no sympathy for that either.
