something i read about pricing etc and the recent surge and like to continue to a point... as said Sprott buying up anything, but in anticipation for the cycle.
contracts, and long held, are set to expire in a couple of years... think thats world wide, not sure if just US base.... as such contracts will need to renogiated, and a likely shortage to develop at that time as many producers had already close shop years ago due to the very low prices and hence not worth to continue as they would go totally broke. MEU story it seems.
New Nuclear power plants set to rise in Japan, US, and mostly China, on top of current demand growing will add more pressure.

Some producer have continued with supply at below below cost to supply, this part to forefill contract obligation but also are already up and runing when the turn around fully occurs... so absorbing losses for the moment.

    Can see $75/80 in 1.5 2years

the Gold industry when through the same, as does lithium now (i go back a long way).... several producer did not even make the break even to continue... some stock piled as best they could, but generally sold at below cost. There was a large variation in cost to dig it up... as there several method to extraction and the environment of resoures..... so some gold producer did very well just becuase of cost... of course now cost and extremely low compared to spot pricing.
