Also, the thing that always confuses me is exactly how they work out these month on month figures. I would expect that many perhaps potential sellers would not sell into a market they do not like. What I'm saying is, how do they actually manage to compare the properties sold this month (or year) with those sold last month (or year).

I probably shouldnt be so "sensitive" to jump when I see comments such as those that started this thread (apologies).

The best thing that I ever did was to split my RE between Sydney and Brisbane (not those "fly you up free to look at an overpriced unit deals").

Anyway, like you, I'm happy to continue to accumulate RE over the long term to hold for the long term. It provides a good solid base to my investment portfolio.
