I think we should remember that the deal with Santos was signed a long long time ago under different circumstances, with a very different board. i don't think it is fair to blame the current board for the contract they need to/forced to honour. As for Santos not liking what they saw, I am not so sure about that. They spent a lot of $'s drilling to look for gas and Helium, they got close enough to feel the enormous pressure of the field and see significant traces of Helium.I doubt these two things would have been a disincentive to go further. Santos has many irons in the fire so could have changed their mind for lots of reasons, besides the very encouraging results from Dukas. Hopefully, one day we will find out what their game is. Any Santo's holders please feel free to ask about Dukas at the next Santos shareholder meeting.
