Several years ago, I worked with Steve Fossett when he was setting gliding World records. We selected Argentina as having excellent topography, terrain and weather conditions. Logistics of moving equipment and the gliders around from one end of the country to the other was often challenging (including bureaucracy) but sliding everything into a container and then plonking it onto the back of a truck for delivery elsewhere was usually the easiest part of the operation.
