Blue hydrogen with carbon capture doesn’t exist.
Carbon capture only exists in using the co2 for the drinks industry. All this talk of pumping it underground etc was all disproven with the most recent article, proving the Myth of carbon capture.

I completely agree with you that green hydrogen is as Elon musk put it as ‘monumentally stupid’. Generating power to convert water to hydrogen (at least 50% loss) then transporting it, and re-combining it via an electrolyser at a max efficiency of 50% also. (Must be close to that now).. making the round trip with a maximum efficiency of 25%.. monumentally stupid.

li-ion or supercapacitor batteries storing that solar energy would return around 90% of the energy, assuming losses in powerlines etc.

If you take a polluting hydrocarbon, which can be burnt in a gas turbine or an ICE.. where co2 is still released.. you are still at square 1… doing what we do now.. with no way of making that carbon neutral.

enter Hazer, a way of taking a hydrocarbon and removing the carbon as a high purity high value graphite particle.. it seems like the long way around to create clean energy, using energy to create 60% more clean energy. But at this point in time I don’t think there are any others that don’t use uranium..

But Hazer is the best I have seen so far, and I have researched A LOT. Just so you know HAZER is an anagram for Hydrogen and Zero Emission Research.

Working with your temperature theory.. if Hazer were to be used to create hydrogen for a direct reduction of iron ore, (probably it’s most appropriate use). Use some hydrogen to heat the steel into billets, and the same heat can also be used to power the reactor, no waste product. Then throw in your graphite to create high carbon steel.

win win win..

This, in my opinion will happen by 2030.
