You then issue a "layman's version" of the technical update to the market and resume trading.

Nobody can get a jump on anybody else because the company is suspended from trading. There's nothing commercial to discuss because nothing would have been tabled by interested parties. That (hopefully) comes later once due diligence is satisfied.

If the two main company objectives are to be achieved this year, "If not now, when?" is the question I am asking.

If it's not now, you're right, we are probably up for another capital raise. The matter of "when" will come down to how much more work is needed.
