I have just this morning pulled the trigger on a $1500 electric scooter and from a ton of research I can tell it is a super competitive market with a couple of dominant players (Segway, xiaomi) that has almost no moat against entry and on top of that a lot of regulatory challenges.
definitely one to stay away from.
