Barra seems to be progressing extremely well. The trial mining JV at Burbanks is on track for stoping to begin in December. Very interesting statement that as of the end of last month they have already mined 39,550 tonnes of waste but they have also mined 5,650 tonnes of ore.
This is stage 1, which has previously been detailed as: "Stage 1 (Trial Mining): Development of portal and short decline, an ore-drive north off the base of the Christmas Pit and several blind up-hole stopes between the 320mRL and 350mRL (between the old Main Lode Levels 2 and 3 respectively).". https://www.investi.com.au/api/announcements/bar/4c982d48-7ff.pdf
So with stoping to come in December, the 5,650 tonnes of ore must be from the "ore drive north off the base of the Christmas Pit." Presumably that ore is going to the mill - so we can expect some actual production results this quarter. On the cusp of gold production, Barra is still priced like a junior explorer with uncertain prospects - it looks incredibly cheap to me - and that's without considering the Mt Thirsty Cobalt project at all.
Cheers
