Yes and. It's being looked at as an energy store where batteries are not feasible, they are trying come up with ways to replace fossil fuels where possible and you can't really run a tanker or truck on batteries (unless you are that one mine on a hill that can use electric ore trucks, regen brake downhill then drive back up empty on batteries)
