That might not be a good a thing for Australian investors. Last company I held that went to the nasdaq was AVH and that was a disaster. ASX companies moving to the nasdaq become small fish in a large, very competitive tank.
Held NWS when it moved to the DOW - that was another disaster and NWS is not a small fish- Rupert finally realized this and returned the company to the ASX.
And if you own any US domiciled companies you have to contend with the nitpicking US IRS paperwork- I'm currently filling out their forms W-8BEN-E now.
