A warm Indian Ocean pushing belts of moisture across the continent (which has already been happening) as well as the risk of La Nina. The two combined (more often than not a La Nina occurs at the same time as a negative IOD) so things get really wet. As to the current situation, my mate at Moree would have been into his barley last week if it had of been dry enough and people I know around Merriwa would have been windrowing their canola if it had of been dry enough. My finger isnt on the pulse like it used to be but be good to get updates from any croppers on here.
