In Victoria, forest matters are Melbourne-centric.
The UFU didn't like volunteers so campaigned.
Union man Marshal got the ear of government.
MFB then sent troops to country stations.
Service then became Victoria Fire rescue.
These people wear blue uniforms and sit in fire stations.
Even during the fierce fires in Victoria's east and south NSW,
these guys stayed in their fire stations,
close to the coffee urn.
The scorned CFA volunteers fought the unwinnable battle.
Fire tracks overgrown, no fire breaks, little fuel reduction burns.
All OK - for government and city though
All due to "climate change".
Now there is a new fire service
"Forest fire Victoria"
Never seen them on the ground,
maybe based in city.
