Earlier this year Allan Kohler pointed out that if you added up the market cap. of all the auto makers it is now double what it was without any significant change in number of cars produced. What he pointed to was that Tesla's market cap was equal to all other manufactures. He also said that this can't persist something must give either the old manufactures take a big hit or Tesla takes a big hit. Then Michael Burry took out short positions on Tesla.
Well the question has been answered. Burry has stopped shorting Tesla and Tesla has crushed the old makers. Tesla's giga casting factories are awesome. VW number one auto maker in the Europe is in a world of pain holding regular emergency meetings even inviting Musk to attend one.
