definitely
volumeEMA x (moving average)
if you refer to this link.
http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=CNP.AX&t=1d#chart1:symbol=CNP.AX;range=6m;indicator=ema(5,20,40)+stochasticslow+volumema(40);charttype=candlestick;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=off;source=undefined
The link will show that the volumeEMA is around 24.4M and 5EMA = 0.31 on the 25 th Sept.
EMA = Exponential Moving avg of close price. I use 5 days.
VolumeEMA =Exponential Moving avg of volume. i use 40 days.
Below is a query for Price Vol spikes of the 25 th.
The column AD100 is something i made up. Its suppose to be the avg daily amount in dollars.
The 100 is to remind me that 100K is a good threshold to apply.
And is calcualated by AD100 = 5EMA * VolEMA
Therefore aly = 0.6013033 * 1418442 = 852914
SecurityCode AD100 CL 5EMA VolEMA
