You are right, our Australian uptake of EV's in the grand scheme will have negligible effect on the global Lithium demands. But at least with the government getting onboard the move to Zero emissions targets, we may see some major investment into the industry within Australia. Who knows? Maybe Converters, Battery Production just maybe a return to some domestic manufacturing.
I am happy to be making money off the back of the shift from fossil fuels to a more sustainable future through my Lithium investments, but I would love to see something out of this revolution that is building a better Australia for my kids, not just big holes in the ground. Do not get me wrong I love what the mining companies in Aus are doing but there could be more downstream domestic processing if our governments are onboard and pumping some investment into it.
I am hoping this announcement is a positive POSCO JV, but what would have made it great is if it was in Australia.
