News: TLS Deals of the day-Mergers and acquisitions

Oct 25 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1000 GMT on Monday:

** South African miner Sibanye Stillwater SSWJ.J said it was in talks to buy Santa Rita nickel and Serrote copper mines in Brazil.

** Britain's Co-operative Bank confirmed said it expressed interest in potentially buying TSB from Spanish lender Banco de Sabadell SABE.MC .

** An investor group led by Canadian real estate company Canderel has agreed to take Cominar REIT CUF_u.TO private in a C$2.14 billion ($1.73 billion) deal, as it looks to expand its presence in Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa.

** Telstra Corp Ltd (TLS) said it agreed to buy the Pacific operations of telecom firm Digicel Group in a $1.6 billion deal largely funded by the Australian government and seen as a way to block China's rising influence in the region.

** Origin Energy Ltd (ORG) agreed to sell a stake of 10% in the Australia Pacific LNG project for A$2.12 billion ($1.58 billion) to investor EIG Partners, in the world's first deal involving private equity in an operating integrated LNG project.

** SoftBank Group Corp is in talks to sell the Paris-based robotics business behind its Pepper android to Germany's United Robotics Group, according to sources and documents reviewed by Reuters, scaling back a business it once touted as a major growth driver.
