It was always commercially viable and now @ $30k per T USD even more so. It's not a coincidence that rock peers get finance without proof of process because digging up rocks isn't a speciality and they aren't producing end product that needs validation as Technical or BG. Brine chemical processors though no one is getting finance from resource only because they not only have to prove a process but also the product.
I'll go out on a limb and say no one is going to provide millions of dollars to a BRINE processor startup without some sort of process and product quality verification from their OWN business processes. No one wants another DE money fire pit that was Rincon.
