Traders will often not enter a position until the gap has been closed.. Say the share price pumps from 20c to 28c on open for example they will wait until it falls back to the 21c mark before entering.. Gaps usually close more often than not so it’s kind of a rule for traders to follow to avoid getting burnt. Nothing goes up in a straight line.
