    Hi Proby,

Trades of one or two shares is rather complex and not worth worrying about as a trader.

Essentially, a trader is finding out how 'liquid' the market is, e.g ill sell 1 share and see if anyone buys it on the other side. if theres a buyer, its information to say that their are buyers ready to buy at market price

In a practical sense, these are done by algorithms, or 'bots', rarely ever done by humans, and the information is fed back into the bot to decide on what next move to make. Bot trading is essentially a battle of algorithms to gain from short term trading.

Fascinating to know but to the long-term trader/human investor, also irrelevant
