Chris, a catastrophic plunge may be good for us fortunuate to have pocketfuls of cash to invest at the low...but I don't see how it does the world around us any good.
With fortunes lost, it is irrecoverable savings disappearing for many who sell in panic.
It is superannuation lost for the elderly who need it to survive...
It is credit disappearing once again for businesses.
And you wonder what terrible calamity in the world would coincide with that sort of fall or engineer it.
McHugh after all, is talking about the Dow between ZERO and 1000.
---About 5000-6000 below the March low.
