I think if you look into some of the traders in different stock on HC it's pretty clear that they are losing as much as winning. but same could also be said for holding the wrong stock.. IMO it's not all about long term v short term, a lot will obviously have to do with the stocks being selected and a persons ability to do the background work to pick the right stocks. Then having the confidence to back their judgement, when a good stock is down without and adverse fundamental reason for downturn (riding out the lows).. if there are FA reason then it's a matter of is it a short term blip that management can work through or is this a game change for the company. The idea of trading and being able to get in on the lows and out on the highs is very tempting but how many actually get that right.. at the end of the day its timing more than anything that's all that matters with trading IMO.. get it wrong to often and that dream becomes a nightmare. I've only been investing for a few years and have picked some duds and kept them till an FA change then dropped and glad I did. others have held through lows, when FA still looks good, and been very well rewarded. If trading would have sold out and not been game to get back in leaving a lot of missed opportunity.

Trend is still looking good to me... on the 15min charts there seems to be some obvious support on the retraces and accumulation before getting upward motion again.. still happy holding on to this one for foreseeable future.
