I would like to add my thoughts on the takeover subject. In my opinion, there will be no takeover at least until well into the future.
There can be no agreed takeover unless the major shareholder Tim Goyder and his family associates want it to happen and agree. That is because nearly all takeovers these days occur through agreement with and support of the Board. It requires by law 75% of shareholders to support an agreed takeover and with the Goyder family controlling around 20% their support is absolutely necessary.
In my opinion Tim Goyder regards LTR as the jewel in his crown of his lifetime as a mineral resource explorer and entrepreneur. I expect that at his age, what is important to him is not how many millions of dollars he can possess, but rather to have a legacy of a mega successful industry player of the future. Tony Ottaviano has said it numerous times that they will be taking this to mining. I'm certaIn in my mind that he is putting a voice to his discussions with TG when he took the role.
Is it similarly not possible for a hostile takeover to succeed and we all know on this forum how loyal LTR shareholders are. I look forward to the journey to mining and downstream processing which is when the true value will be realised for all of us.
