You may well be right.
I recall I was using the Covid lows to draw trendlines and calculate Fib extensions and retracement.
I am now ignoring those spikes as "rouge " data and charts are now much more accurate.
$4 96 is the third line and forecasts $1 on a weekly close below there.
Thats why I am a buyer at those levels as each line break has led to a retest and this retest is at $8
