Ive been on the opposite side, drilling the holes. Negotiating the contract from an office is one thing, trying to achieve those numbers can be a different game in the field, especially in todays environment. I have seen 10m achieved where 30 m was quoted in hard rock for days at a time.
Im sure they aren't sitting around playing cards.

I was expressing surprise that a 500m program could or would take that long....

And you'd presume they largely know what they're likely to expect by now - vis a vis drilling conditions.

But sure, there can always be unknowns. Nonetheless....
