After enduring the rollercoaster of emotions that come with a 30k price swing in my portfolio value, I have had more time to digest this decision without those raw feelings of fear and greed.

The first word that comes to mind now is farcical. The only company that played this well from the outset was FFR. Looks like Simon is going to be a very good pickup for GCY.

Will be interesting to see how the market digests this news over the coming days and weeks. I get the feeling in the short term, there is going to be a fair amount of angst from SH towards the GCY board over their handling of recent events.

WGX have not exactly shone brightly either with their passive/aggressive and agitative style of penny pinching bargaining.
Hopefully this is all water off a ducks back for GCY now and they can focus on operational efficiencies, building reserves and increasing cashflow.
Time for the next bonanza gold find in the Yalgoo's. Just think, we could all be laughing by Chrismas after GCY/FFR 10x .

I'm very disappointed in what has recently transpired yet still optimistic about GCY's future. I have changed my sentiment to a hold for the short term. If the price drops below 30c like some others have suggested, then I will backing the truck up!!

My advice to other holders, for what it's worth, would be tread very careful in the way you react to this news. Think about it before dumping your stock angrily into the bids. I have a strong suspicion there will be more to this story in the coming weeks. IMHO there will be continued M&A activity coming our way...
