The general stuffing around is the reason I avoid SPP's. For the retail punters you might make a make a tiny amount but it's an effort with the paperwork.
If a share's that good I buy it on the open market after the institutions have run the ruler over it with their book build.
Still it took me a few years and a few scalebacks to learn this. This especially hurt in the early days when I sold good shares to raise the cash for an SPP only to be given most of it back after the scaleback.
