Whether shareholders are 'over reacting' or not is beside the point. We are, for the most part, intelligent people who use company announcements, interviews and forums to glean as much information as we can about stocks we hold.
In the case of HCH, I would dare say the majority of shareholders would have been somewhat surprised by the information revealed about the impending additional CR, following on the heels of the 'big one' just completed.
Are we surprised because we are stupid? Are we over reacting because we are hysterical trouble makers? Or are we questioning why it seems that the wool may have been pulled over our eyes.
Sometimes it is not so much what HAS been announced, rather what has been LEFT out that matters.
For example, look at the highlighted text from the $40 million CR announcement.
The part talking about is being funded to the end of PFS:
To any shareholder who follows the story, we know this is not being completed until later in 2022. So this sentence would give most reasonable people the impression that we were funded until this point in time and therefore not require additional CR before then. I know that this was my thought process upon reading it.
The other highlighted part mentioning our strong cash position providing a compelling foundation for our plans to list on the TSX-V later this year:
Most reasonable people would read that as meaning we have raised enough cash to be in a strong position for dual listing. We all knew we couldn't be listing penniless and so this all fed into us thinking we were funded for that also.
Now I know the wording does not specifically state that we would not require or be seeking additional funding upon listing, but it probably gave most people that impression.
How do I know this?
Because I read almost all the posts on here and I can't recall any discussion of the possibility/probability of a CR in late Nov/Early Dec as we dual list.
Am I the only one who feels we are being led down the garden path lately?
I confess to not knowing as much as some on here about the technicalities of listing/CR requirements but I can read competently, and I feel we as shareholders should have to be picking through and cross checking every announcement to form a realistic idea of WTF is the next step in the plan.
Now maybe it will all come out in the wash and be a great move to bolster the coffers/entice some Nth American funds into the registry. Maybe it won't be done at another heavy discount. But maybe it will and to be honest it's pisses me off the way the puppet master is jiggling the strings at the moment.
