Finally looked into the details of the tender... its definitely worth having a read. I know you were probably joking Furpo but it really does warrant an inquiry... it is truly ridiculous.
Block 4 is by far the most valuable block yet it went for by far the lowest price ($10.38m) and to a company with the probably the least exploration experience out of the participants (despite this supposedly being one of the main considerations).
Fosterville were awarded the less valuable blocks for between $23m and $40m.. so surely they would have offered more than $40m for Block 4. CYL along with some multi billion dollar companies participated in the tender and surely would have offered more than $10m for Block 4. So the public should have the right to understand why the Government awarded it to an inexperienced company for a significantly lower price.
Wouldnt it be in the best interest for Victoria to have more dollars spent in the state?
