If ScoMo was putting Australia first he would have simply cancelled the Froggy Sub deal but not mentioned the US/UK Nuke Sub deal for national security purposes.
IMO the spruiking of the Nuke Sub deal 20 years before there is an outcome, weakens Australia's security because it shows our hand to the Chinese and damages further our trade relations.
This is why the Nuke deal is about re-electing ScoMo, particuluarly the timing of the announcement which is less than 6 months away with pollies out there canvassing .
