The problem with nuclear power is it puts all the COP26 people & hangers on out of their $trillion business. It would once and for all do away with gas, coal, wind, and solar for electricity generation. Its why the green lobby fears it so much - not because of the danger, but because it ends their industry, the IPCC, a vast range of academics, etc.
