News: BHP Deals of the day-Mergers and acquisitions

Nov 3 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0950 GMT on Wednesday:

** British mutual insurer LV= proposed 111 million pounds ($151.3 million) in one-off member payments, with every eligible member receiving 100 pounds, if takeover plans by private equity firm Bain Capital go ahead.

** Land Securities Group Plc LAND.L has bought a 75% stake in MediaCity, the biggest tech and media hub outside London, for 425.6 million pounds ($580.1 million), the UK commercial landlord said.

** French construction and telecoms group Bouygues BOUY.PA said it had made a binding offer to acquire Equans, the services unit of French power group Engie ENGIE.PA estimated to be worth 5-6 billion euros ($5.79-$6.95 billion).

** London-based private-equity firm Vitruvian Partners LLP sold about 11 million shares in British cybersecurity firm Darktrace DARK.L for 580 pence each, raising gross proceeds of about 63.8 million pounds ($87 million), bookrunner Berenberg said.

** Italy's Banca Ifis IF.MI said that it had bought 2.8 billion euros ($3.24 billion) of unsecured loans from U.S. financial investor Cerberus, its biggest-ever acquisition of non-performing loans (NPLs).

** BHP Group Ltd (BHP) has started talks with Australian billionaire Andrew Forrest's Wyloo Metals regarding the takeover of Noront Resources Ltd NOT.V as both the companies try to acquire the Canadian nickel producer.

** EDP Renewables (EDPR) EDPR.LS has bought a majority stake in Southeast Asian renewables firm Sunseap Group, in a deal that values the company at S$1.1 billion ($816 million) and helps accelerate EDPR's growth in Asia.
