Today is Diwali in many parts of the world, the festival of lights celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and some Buddhists. Diwali symbolises the "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance", according to Wiki - and lord knows we could use some of that. A typical Indian Diwali breakfast includes things like chole bhature, parathas, poori and aloo sabji.
