The broker has increased its global economic growth forecast from 2.5% to 3.5% in FY10. This increases oil demand expectations, but the broker notes oil inventories remain high. The broker now forecasts average prices of US$75/bbl in 2H09, US$65 in 2010 and US$80 in 2011.
The broker has adjusted all energy stock earnings forecasts for its oil price change, offset by an adjustement to its currency forecast.
Santos' target rises from $20.60 to $20.85.
