yes but it's probably not that easy re: estimating our value. I think you need to compare open-pit zones and potential zones exploitable via underground mining. I am not an expert but I think open-pit often goes down to 200-300m deep. For underground operations you need higher grades (but I don't how high in this case) - and I think this is what the company has been mentioning in the anns as well - that they want to map deeper high-grade zones that lend themselves for underground operations - this is one of their priorities for the next months.
Not sure what other here think but I envision a future where we mine mineralisation down to 200-300m along the whole 15km reef with an open-pit (and that might be 5-7 Moz PGE3 plus Rh and Ir, plus Cu and Ni), and on top of that additional underground mining but only in a few high-grad zones (so not across the whole 15km). So if that reef really goes kilometers deep, these underground operations could reach extremely deep (like Bushveld etc.) and might be very profitable for us! Our new CEO is an expert in both open-pit and underground mining, so I do think this is our plan for the years ahead of us.
So long story short, we could grow our resources substantially via 2 steps:
1) Along the whole 15km reef and 200-300m deep, with platinum, palladium, rhodium and iridium, plus gold, plus copper and silver (open-pit).
2) In a few horizontal high-grad zone that extend vertically, potentially kilometers deep (underground operation).
If that really plays out that way - who knows how big Pod(zilla) becomes re: resources/reserves. I am very bullish.
The icing on the cake would be parellel reefs from left field - and we get more clarity on this in a few weeks (hopefully before xmas), with the results of the current deep drilling coming in.
What do others think? How big this will become AND mineable?
