’Negative’ is in this context terrible-3 managing to throw sticks in the wheel enough for the PDF site being rejected.. then we will be in a tough spot. Nightmare to be honest.
I don’t think there is any escaping from the PDF, current best-case-scenario would be (as Dr Looi points out) to be able to tap into it later for condisoil production..
Financially, we may have reached a point when we might as well embrace it. We have paid some $30m already, with perhaps $30m left +US$50m in AELB deposit.
NOT building it would definitely mean we lost the money spent already (contractual), and we would never ever see any use of the US$50m.. so, IMO, approval of the site would at this point be good enough.
With current NdPr price, total cost is a mere 4-6w profit.
