Buy low and sell high is rule 1.
Rule 2 is to simply accept the daily moves of the stock market and be patient.
Rule 3 is that unless something fundamentally changes, stick to your original investment plan.
Rule 4 is to regularly value the stock you are investing in i.e. if its valuation is very high, it is time to sell. However, if it's valuation is very cheap, it is time to buy.
Rule 5 is don't forget Rule 1.
