This maybe correct if the defendant pleads guilty But if it goes to trial and its judged by peers in a jury . Anyone has that right if they are on the electoral role to be called for being on that under the laws system . Thats the public is the jury . Now if media as part of the public are seen as biased in the proceeding perceived or not its a consideration the court of public opinion . The sanctity of the jury box is paramount to justice in how they decide . The best decisions are the guilty pleas and the public does not have to suffer being in a jury imo Then again a jury is just the public . Why one gets their picture pixelated and another does not . Its a great question to say its seen as biased in its portray of everyone is equal till the media decides !
