Your comparison makes no sense. Hamish is not into speculative shares and you can’t pick one or two of those stocks to compare with MFG portfolio. Hamish strategy is for to buy low long lasting stocks to hold for 15 to 20 years, similar to Warren Buffet. In fact Buffet did not invest on any of the technology companies until recently with purchase of Apple. I think he has done okay without going for speculative stock. Majority of investment community still thinks Tesla is still highly over valued and not certain of long term future. The argument is that Tesla obviously has a major advantage over as first to the market while the other big brands had gone to sleep. Therefore likes of VW,GM,Ford,Hyundai, Toyota are 2 to 3 years behind Tesla with the technology capabilities. As soon as their products start rolling out of factories, which one will consumer pick. Stick to old established brands or take Tesla.? Bitcoin is completely different game. Similar to going to races. It is far to early to say it will be acceptable in the long run. This will never be Hamish’s cup of tea. You will not find this kind of investments in MFG stable.
