Enough, you two. There are enough little duels going on in various parts of this forum already. Level of sophistication is a subjective thing, as is level of acceptance of the practice, despite the fact that it's an undeniable part of the investment landscape. Many so-called sophisticated investors simply don't short, and I think it's fair to say most 'newby' investors wouldn't know how.
