So if the market doesn't exist "yet" why not take the opportunity to push the tech as far as you can on fully crystalline PCMO. Also develop the "tuning map" where you trade off one performance metric for gains in the others. Take the time afforded to build a more complete package and when RISC V is sorted or whatever it is that creates the market the company will have a better product.

It's still going to take money, money we don't have.
