we have covered this previously in the forum as we flagged it as a major concern. The answer simply is that at present there is no approved legal IPPS on the market hence Dr's who want to access Pentosan do so by prescribing Elmiron (oral PPS) and having a compounder turn it into an injectable. Once Paradigm's iPPS is approved this option is no longer available as there is an approved (ie tested and proven) injectiable which must be prescribed. Compounding Chemists are not allowed to create their own versions of an approved drug just to sell it cheaper (somebody posted a reference to this previously). Mozz may have the reference handy.
