JAKARTA- In order to coordinate and consult to obtain information and regional strategic steps in supporting renewable energy and oil and gas resource development programs in the province of South Sulawesi and the role of producing regions in oil and gas and energy management, the Head of the Wajo Regency DPRD visited the Indonesian National Energy Council (DEN) in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 03, 2021.
The leader of the DPRD Kab. Wajo included the Chairman of the DPRD Kab. Wajo, H. Andi Muh. Alauddin Palaguna, Vice Chairman I, Ir. H. Firmansyah Perkesi, Vice Chairman II, Ir. H. Andi Senurdin Husaini was received directly by Den Ri General Nanang Kristanto, DEN Musri Member and Eri Pramono Hadi.
Andi Alauddin Palaguna, said that the development of renewable energy in Wajo Regency really pays attention to the vision of national energy management, namely the realization of sustainable and environmentally sound energy management by prioritizing energy development.
Vice Chairman of 1st DprD Wajo Ir. H. Firmansyah Perkesi, explained that this visit aims to cooperate and know the strategy of regional energy development in the future, especially natural gas and solar power.
"Wajo Regency has the potential of natural resources in the form of natural gas in the Sengkang Block that has been utilized for the city's gas network and the potential of solar power is also quite large," said Ir. H. Firmansyah.
Vice Chairman II of the Wajo DPRD, Ir. H. Andi Senurdin, added that Wajo is rich in the energy sector, among others, watersheds, natural gas and wind power that really support renewable energy development projects.
On the occasion, DEN member Musri explained that DEN is a national, permanent, and independent institution.
DEN has the task of designing and formulating the National Energy Policy (KEN), establishing the National Energy General Plan (RUEN), establishing measures to combat crisis and energy emergencies (KRISDAREN), and overseeing the implementation of cross-sector policies in the energy sector, Musri added.
Meanwhile, DEN Member Eri Purnomo Hadi said that the Regional Energy General Plan (RUED) is the provincial government's policy on provincial energy management plans which are the description and implementation plan of RUEN cross-sectorally.
Furthermore, DEN Secretary General Djoko Siswanto said that lng land in Sengkang is reportedly ready and development has reached 75% with a capacity of 70 MMSCFD and is currently waiting for lng allocation enthusiasts. Djoko also hopes that the Regional Government and DPRD can support the activity.
Not to forget, the Head of the Wajo Regency DPRD thanked the National Energy Council (DEN) R.I for the Household Gas project which has now been felt by the people of Wajo regency. (Public Relations of DPRD Wajo/prd)
