It's not part of the GDX yet, and as above it will be in both indexes when it gets added to GDX.
This notice shows only a slight reduction (500k) in absolute number of shares, mostly the dilution of holding was due to the increased number of shares on issue after the placement.
I suspect most of the sales have come from Van Eck's managed mutual fund (IIG). That will probably continue over time as the IIG tends to be weighted more toward developers.
