You have the benefit of hindsight to make those judgements. Real leadership is making a decision in the face of adversity, whether it turns out to be the right one or the wrong one. Leadership isn't stalling to make a decision until you have the perfect one.
Let's face it, there haven't been many Prime ministers in Australia's history that have faced the adversity (COVID/fires etc) that Scott Morrison has, from the very start of his tenure.

And when you use hindsight to scold people, you should also use it to review the outcome of their decisions.
We have surpassed most nations in vaccination rates
Our economy bounced back in record time
We are 167/222 nations for deaths per million people due to covid
We record a measly 180k cases and managed to keep the death toll to 1.8k.

A leaders job isn't to be liked.
