What is with the emphasis on trucking/transport of ore? The E25 operations are broadly similar to the nearby ConsMin Woodie Woodie mine (who for the record also own a minority share in OMH), which has operated for over 70 years. In their case I believe the trucks are roughly an 800km round trip to the Utah Point port.
They were acquired for over $1bn around 2008 and later acquired by Ningxia following the mine being placed on care and maintenance due to the sharp Mn price decrease in 2016-17 discussed a few posts ago. However once Ningxia acquired the mine, they recommenced operations by processing low grade (mid 20%) ore before transitioning back to full operations of 44% and continue to realise annual net operating cash flows comparable to our current market cap at very strong margins (per AFR article in August). Not to mention they are nearing the end of mine life with only a handful of years remaining and a high strip ratio.
My point is there is already decades of evidence pointing to our process/method being viable (and even for a brief period at substantially lower grades than we are producing).
