In fairness to Rod, saying that GGG's interest in the project isnt in question doesnt necessarily mean that the court case has NO IMPACT on GGG.

To recap, Its my understanding that the core of the case revolves around Westrip transferring its interests in the project to another entity, they promptly recieved an injunction against any such action until resolved. GGG are supporting Westrip shareholders motion that this would be unfair to them given the directors allegedly ascribed nil value to the project in their accounts and IMO have been talking down the project and its prospects via various forms of media, however I dont have proof of this.

We know how Westrip could potnetially benefit from this but the question remains as to who was going to be the recipient of the westrip assets and how would this affect GGG? Every time I come up with a potential reason I feel I am drawing a long bow.

Yes thats plausible, but also plausible for the flipside that GGG could be trying to prevent a sinister powerful and totally inappropriate tactic by Wetsrip.

I just dont know one way or the other.
