    I doubt they will over pay on the inital bid hef. The fact that UMC is in a suspension says to me that BHP's offer (if it is BHP) wasn't one that UMC couldnt refuse, hence the suspension and need for further negotiation.

    BHP have a history of not over paying for assets. WMC is the perfect example as it was picked up on the cheap.
