I have read Mecki's post a few times now. I think the post contains a valid comment, although i am not stating that i am in support of his viewpoint.

I don't think he was suggesting that SDL HotCopper members would be attending the AGM to direct frustrations at SDL Management regarding timelines etc. I think he was indicating that as a shareholder, he would rather SDL management were left to pursue the interests of the company (and therefore the shareholders) without being distracted further from the task by what is being proposed on here.

From my viewpoint, i do not have a problem with SDL committing additional time at an AGM to answer shareholder questions, after all it is the shareholders money that is being used to pursue the project.

My only reservation would be that SDL agreeing to a separate meeting after the AGM specifically for SDL Hotcopper Members would be an unusual approach.

SDL should consider making a formal statement at the commencement of the AGM outlining the agenda and extending the invitation to all who wish to attend the additional question time. The alternative would be not to have a separate meeting, but to forward a list of questions to SDL prior to the AGM (as previously suggested on this forum) and having them present the answers to all at the AGM.
